The root cause of the problem is an inability to know the functional size of software projects, inconsistent and incomplete requirements. This three-day seminar addresses these two major areas.
Function Points are a valuable tool that software organizations use to help understand the size of software projects and to help them accurately predict cost, schedule, duration and defects. Function points are to software development what unit cost is to manufacturing or square meters are to construction.
Besides function points, the seminar covers requirements issues too. Unclear requirements are the major factor inhibiting accurate estimating and sizing of software projects.
The function point training seminar has emerged from Diana Baklizky’s global consulting practice.
The seminar provides many rules of thumb for creating software estimates, sizing software and improving the requirements process.

Bachelor of Mathematics, Postgraduate in Business Administration, software metrics expert with over 30 years of experience in systems development.
Diana is certified by the American Army as Instructor Qualified in Measurement Software Practice, member of the Functional Size Standards Committee (FSSC) IFPUG based in New Jersey - United States and a member of the Measurement Practices Committee (MPC) the COSMIC organization, headquartered in Montreal, Canada.

As Chief Scientist and ti MÉTRICAS Vice-President, Diana is responsible for maintaining consistency of the counting process that involves more than 50 CFPS / CFPP experts in your company and clients. She guides the team in advanced topics of the application of Function Point Analysis (DW, SOA, Workflow, Internet, ATM). Moreover, she teaches a preparation course for the CFPS exam of IFPUG and have already trained over 1000 people in the art of FPA, providing consultancy on issues related to Function Points in a wide variety of companies either.
